Cleaning up our water

Ms Braverman has stated that she fully supports her Ministerial colleagues aim to make this the first generation that leaves the environment in a better state than we found it, meaning that the Conservative government will act on the concerns raised around the impact climate change will have on our lives.

Ms Braverman agrees that our rivers are a vital part of our natural heritage and has welcomed new laws which give regulators the scope to hit polluters with unlimited fines and broaden their range of offences, tackling pollution and protecting nature for future generations. Well done I hear you cry! But are you aware that Ms Braverman was one of the MPs who voted for allowing water companies to continue to dump
raw sewage into our rivers and seas?

Last year Ms Braverman asked the local people of Fareham to Join her Campaign to clean up our coastline, giving local people the impression she herself had set up there campaigns and initiatives, when in fact these ideas and actions have been in place for several years and have come about by local people fed up with little being done to protect our local environment.

I ask you how Ms Braverman can say she supports leaving our environment in a better position when she continues to allow Southern Water to dump raw sewage into our rivers and seas?

I wonder whether you consider Ms Braverman’s actions as a mere tick box exercise hoping to fool us into thinking she cares for the environment in which we live and ultimately saving the human race or is genuine plan from the heart?
