Ms Braverman’s 2022 leadership bid was at least partly funded by a £10,000 donation from Steve Baker, MP for High Wycombe.
Until recently Steve Baker was a trustee of the Global Warming Policy Foundation, a climate denialist think-tank that aims to influence government policy and slow-down progress towards net-zero. They do not divulge who they are funded by. Steve Baker is now a vocal member of the small ‘Net Zero Scrutiny Group’ in Parliament.
Ms Braverman herself has posted publicly about her ‘great friendship’ with Steve Baker – here they are together at Titchfield Community Centre in March 2023.
